What Is Old Is New Kits has closed down for good, a baby on the way and two girls who lead a very active after school life combined with work commitments have definitely influenced this decision, however my lack of interest in anything scrapping has helped me make this decision.

WOW December, its here far too fast than what I wanted but what can we do, the older I get the faster the years slip by....

Firstly I just want to say a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to my best friend and partner in crime EMMA ALLEN who is a Scrapbooking Memories Master for 2011, I am so excited for her and cant wait to see her fabbo creations in the mag next year!!!!

What Is Old Is New Kits will be taking a break for a while, our December Kits will be loaded to the site soon and in a few days we will be loading some summer kits.

There are some important family issues that will be taking priority at the start of 2011 and it has just come time to take a step back and have things become a little simpler...

I am married to Luke and we have 4 kidlets, Charlotte, Zachary, Deacon and Adam; we live in Central Queensland on a property, which I just LOVE.

I started scrapping just after Zac was born nearly 3.5yrs ago now. I love it. Hook, line and sinker addicted and not a day goes by where I’m not doing something scrap related. I have an ‘all sorts’ of a style, mix and mash and I just follow with what I feel comfortable with.

Em and I are back from Melbourne, we had a wonderful time at Mistified, lots of Tattered Angels products and some new ideas and of course HEIDI SWAPP who was just gorgeous!

Welcome to March's Kit Release!!!

March brings our 1st Birthday here at What Is Old Is New Kits, this month we are going to have giveaways, a special sale and a Guest DT position up for grabs, keep your eye on the blog for more details!!!!!!!

We have three gorgeous kits this month, we also have a Special Guest Designer who created some gorgeous layouts using our Pretty In Pink kit this month...

I am a wife to Lennie and a mum to six gorgeous kids, Molly (11), Nathaniel (9), William (8), Grace (6), Hannah (4) and Josiah (2).
I discovered scrapbooking in 2005 after buying a book about card making written by the talented Emily Falconbridge, which then led me to the local scrapbooking store...and as they say, the rest was history!

I like my layouts to be a little bit messy and I always go for bright colours.
The five things I couldn't scrap without would be American Crafts thickers, Kraft coloured cardstock, paint, fabric and buttons.
I love incorporating lots of non-traditional stuff onto my pages too...things like pages torn from childrens books, dress patterns, fabric and my current favourite, MT masking tape!

In July 2009 I joined the Scrapboxx Design Team and am also designing for Scrapbooking Memories as a Creative Team member for 2010.

Daily December Album & a NEW Challenge

Check out the Daily December Blog HERE if you are doing it leave your link in the blog post so we can come and have a look at yours!!!
We are having a new challenge start on January 1st, this will be a year long challenge that documents the year, all you are going to need to do is create 1 layout a month about what you did in the previous month, so if we start in January we will be creating a layout about things or something special that happened in December.
You are going to need to add a calendar of some sort to your page, photo(s) and journaling and at the end of the year you will have 12 layouts that you will be able to look at and see some of the things you did for that year!
I have run this challenge on a previous site of mine a couple of years ago and we had a great time doing it!!
I hope you can join in, more details including prizes on January 1st!

WOW the last month of they year is almost upon us, Christmas is only 26 days away :-0

This is our last release until February 1st, I need to take some time off to re-charge my batteries stock up on supplies and enjoy the school holidays...

We have some gorgeous kits this month, I will have them loaded to the blog tomorrow night, Subscribers you will start getting your Invoices tomorrow night as well....

Embellishment Kits will be loaded along with the Main kits this month, this gives Australia Post time to get you your parcels before Christmas. One thing heading into Australia Posts busiest month I do recommend you Register your parcels, it is only an additional $2.80 so please email me if you would like this option.

2009 Daily December Album..

Here is a little look at the first couple of pages of my Daily December Album...

I have used fabric on my cover and used the "h" for our last name and I wanted the date on the front as well.

I still have a few pages to finish off with adding dates etc and I will be all ready to go December 1st. We will be uploading every day or every second day with our creations, Em has decided to do her album as well this year so you will have plenty of ideas.

CHANGES in 2010 to WIOIN Kits & More

Coming in 2010 for What Is Old Is New Kits...

In 2010 there will be some changes in what kits will be on offer.
Firstly the main change will be how the kits are structured, at the moment in the MAIN kit category we have the following:

Vintage
Girl
Bright Girl
Boy
Bright Boy

This will change to:

Vintage
Girl
Boy

Kits not offered on a subscription basis are:
Class Kit
One Off’s

Subscriptions will still be available to the Vintage, Boy and Girl kits. The remaining kits will be on a first come first served basis.

The reason for the change is to simplify things on my end, with 8 kits to create every month including the Embellishment kits it takes a great deal of time to source products, create and pack all of these kits.
I am also going to be running a family members accommodation business for 7+ months of next year and this will also take up a lot of my time and to be fair to the customers of WIOIN I want to still maintain the quality and uniqueness we have.

VINTAGE kits, these are our biggest sellers and we will be capping the Subscriptions of the MAIN kits at 30, there are only a few spots left so if you are interested in getting the Vintage kits I HIGHLY recommend you take out a subscription soon.

Please head to our subscription page, it gives you all the details and you will see that you are not “locked” in to a time frame, we are very flexible as I am sure our current subscribers could tell you.
Once the subscriptions are filled the only way you will be able to get a Vintage kit is if someone skips a kit and one becomes available.

If you are currently subscribed to any of the above BRIGHT kits you can transfer your subscriptions to the Boy or Girl Kits if you do not already have a sub with them.

CHRISTMAS RELEASES & Embellishment Kit Update

**A quick update there will not be any Embellishment Kits this month, due to time constraints. Decembers Embellishment Kits will be available to subscribers and the general public on the 1st December, so they can ship out with Main Kits to get to you in time for Christmas.

Here are our Christmas kits, our OTP kit is designed to create a December Daily Album, which we will be starting on the 1st December, if you need addtional information head on over to Ali Edwards blog HERE for her 2008 album and HERE for her 2009 album.
The kit includes some basic items to get you started but is designed so that you can add things from your stash as well.

Funky Christmas will not be shipping until the 13th approx, just waiting on a final shipment of papers to arrive, if you order this kit please email me and we can work out an arrangement if you have ordered other kits.

NOVEMBER RELEASE

Welcome to November, I still cant believe we are here, it seemed like it was October 1st just the other day.

We have been busy creating some gorgeous Christmas kits which will be released on the 5th along with an OTP album that we will be using to create a Daily December album, if you have not heard about the Daily December Album, it is an album that you create and update every day with details and pictures of what you have done that day in December, finishing up with Christmas day on the 25th, of course you can create additional pages and continue all the way through to the end of the month...

Welcome to Octobers Reveal!

Here is my take on the sketch using the above kit for LETS GET SHABBY'S fourth challenge.
I have added the Sasafrass Lass paper as my background and some Carolees for the Alphas, the rest is from the kit and I still have a fair bit left over!

Mandy had created a gorgeous mini book using the kit, the only other products she has added is the cardboard for the cfront and back cover, some string and some of her own alphas!!!
I am sure you will agree it is stunning!

Postage Prices & Vintage Kit Update

Just a quick update to let you know that as from the 1st September our postage prices will be going up a little to coincide with Australia Posts price increase on the 6th July this year.

Prices are as follows:

Main Kits
Regular $5.60
Registered $8.40
$2.60 for each additional kit capped at $11.00.

Embellishment Kits remain the same $1.50, registered post is available for all our kits!

This is not something we wish to do but unfortunately have to.

VINTAGE KIT UPDATES...

As you know we sold out of our Vintage Kits last month before they even got on to the site, every month we are increasing the number of kits we are making but the demand is getting bigger and bigger, this month it looks like we might sell out of Vintage kits again after increasing the numbers, if you want a Vintage kit, I do reccommend you subscribe to secure yourself a kit. You are not locked in to a specific contract, you have the option to skip or cancel if you do not like what is on offer, if you are interested please go HERE and read the details and email me if you have any questions!!!

I have increased Octobers numbers again so hopefully we wont have anyone missing out.
